How it works
My Drive and shared drives
Keep your own files in My Drive. Create shared drives for a team, a client, or a project, and add the people who work on it. Files in a shared drive belong to the workspace, so they stay when the person who uploaded them leaves.
Drives that follow a mailbox
Give a work mailbox like sales@ its own drive. When the mailbox passes to someone new, the drive goes with it, and the new holder chooses whether to keep the files or start empty.
Share by role
Share a file or folder as Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Or turn on a link for everyone in your workspace, or for anyone with a Chebu account who has the link.
Versions and trash
Upload a new version of a file and the old one stays for 30 days, or keep it for good. Deleted items wait in Trash for 30 days, so a mistake is easy to undo.
Open the files you already have
Preview files in the browser. Open Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx) as documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, and edit them with your team.
Storage shared with mail
Mail and files draw from the same storage on your plan. There is no separate quota per person to manage.

Common questions
How much storage do I get?
Storage comes with your plan and is shared by mail and files across the workspace. The pricing page lists each plan's storage. Business plans can go past it and pay per extra GB.
Who can create shared drives?
Owners and admins of a business workspace. They add members to each shared drive and can see every drive in the workspace.
What happens to someone's files when they leave?
Files in shared drives stay where they are. A drive tied to a work mailbox passes to the mailbox's next holder. Remove the person from the workspace and their access to its shared drives ends.
Can I share with people outside the company?
Yes. Share with anyone who has a Chebu account as a Viewer, Commenter, or Editor, or share a link they can open. A Chebu account is free.
How large can a file be?
Up to 32 GB per file. Any file type can be stored, and common ones preview in the browser.
