Common questions
Can I start with just my own address?
Yes. Start with a @chebu.email address and add your domain when you're ready. Your inbox works from the moment you sign up.
Can I run more than one company?
Yes. Add each domain separately. Each has its own records and mailboxes, and all of the mail still lands in your one inbox.
How long does it take to set up my domain?
Adding the domain and copying the records usually takes a few minutes. Most DNS providers publish changes within minutes, though some take a few hours. Chebu rechecks the records so you can see when they're live.
Can I bring my old mail with me?
Yes. Point Chebu at your current provider's IMAP host and import your existing mailbox. Switch your MX record when you're ready, and new mail starts arriving in Chebu.
Can I keep using the mail app on my phone?
Yes. Connect the built-in mail app on iOS or Android over IMAP and SMTP with an app password. You can also use the web app at app.chebu.io from any browser.
