How it works
What works with mail apps does for you
Standard IMAP and SMTP
Chebu shows the server names, ports, and security settings for each account. IMAP runs on port 993 with TLS, and SMTP submission uses 587 or 465. Any standard mail client can connect.
App passwords
Create a separate password for each app. Revoke one without changing your main password or signing out anywhere else. If you lose a phone, cut off that one device and keep going.
In sync everywhere
Mail you read, move, or send in one place shows up the same way in the others. Start a reply on your laptop and find it in Sent on your phone. Your folders follow you from app to app.
Web app included
app.chebu.io gives you the unified inbox, sorting, and search in any modern browser. Use it on its own or next to your mail app. Nothing to install.
Your team can choose
Some people like the web app. Others have used the same desktop client for years. Everyone on the team can pick what works for them, and shared addresses work the same either way.

Create an app password
In Chebu, make a new app password for the app or device you want to connect.

Enter the server settings
Add the account in your mail app using the IMAP and SMTP details Chebu shows: IMAP on port 993 with TLS, SMTP on 587 or 465.

Read and send as usual
Your mail and folders sync to the app. Revoke the app password in Chebu whenever you stop using that app.

Which apps work with Chebu?
Any app that supports IMAP and SMTP, including Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, and the built-in mail apps on iOS and Android. If your app lets you add an account with IMAP and SMTP settings, it can connect.
What are the server settings?
IMAP uses port 993 with TLS. SMTP submission uses port 587 or 465. Chebu shows the exact server names and settings for each account, ready to copy into your app.
Why use an app password instead of my main password?
An app password works for one app only. If a device is lost or you stop using an app, revoke that password without changing your main one. Your other apps and your web sign-in keep working.
Can I use a mail app and the web app at the same time?
Yes. Changes sync both ways. Read a message on your phone and it shows as read in the web app too.
